Ferns are pretty incredible plants - they're one of the oldest plant species to have grown on earth, and date back hundreds of millions of years!  They're prehistoric, and survived when the dinosaurs could not.  Maybe this is why in folklore, the fern symbolises eternal youth!
I grow these plants and many others organically at home in my cottage garden.  I was looking for a way to preserve their natural beauty long term, and begun pressing flowers to do just this.  By making the original straight after taking the ferns out of the press, and then immediately turning it into art prints, the colours and quality of the leaves is still really vibrant.
